So anytime your body becomes weary from sitting meditation, consider doing five minutes of kinh hanh walking meditation. Move very slowly linking each step to your inhale and exhale.
An indoor walking mediation common among Zen Buddhists is Kinh Hanh, the Vietnamese for “slow walking”. It is done inside a meditation room following a period of sitting meditation. Meditators move slowly in a circle taking one step on an inhale and the next step on an exhale. Each step is carefully coordinated with the breath. It offers a natural break from sitting meditation and provides a community of meditators an opportunity to move in a mindful unity. Kinh Hanh can also be done outdoors where space is limited such as a small yard area.
