Upon returning to the United States, Norris continued to meditate saying “I make it a practice to meditate for ten minutes every morning and in the evening, when the day is done. Before going into difficult business meetings I always meditate for a few minutes whenever possible.”
Though he is a busy actor, author and martial artists, Chuck Norris makes time for meditation. In fact, his practice is to do this twice a day. He begins meditation with some breathing exercises, known in yoga as ‘pranayama’, which he says is vital for meditation. In his book, The Secret Power With: Zen Solutions To Real Problems: “The key to meditation begins with breath control,” he writes and explains his first experience with breath management took place when he was studying martial arts in Korea. “Often it was bone chillingly cold and rainy with icy winds and we were dressed lightly, even though we were out of doors. All lessons began with breathing exercises and I soon discovered that as the breathing exercise progressed, I became warm and my body relaxed.”
