Here's a new word to know: "paraskevidekatriaphobia," - a fear of the thirteenth day of the month falling on a Friday which is today. The idea that Friday the 13th is an unlucky day goes back for hundreds of years, with the tradition said to have begun in the Middle Ages or even Biblical times. Some claim the superstition arose from Jesus’ Last Supper, where there were 13 people present – which lead to his death.
