Positive actions always lead to positive ends. Healthy eating not only produces a healthy body but also improves mood. Releasing bitterness and resentment leads to inner-peace. Regular exercise strengthens the body while simultaneously relieving stress, anxiety and depression. Surrounding your self with a few spiritual friends increases your determination to evolve. Expressing gratitude leads to fewer depressive symptoms. Being a positive influence draws people closer to you because they enjoy your energy. Smiling not only lifts your mood but changes the mood of others for the better. Negative actions always lead to negative ends. Drug use erodes the body and the damage can continue long after a person stops. Smoking damages the heart and lungs as well as increasing the risk of stroke. Alcohol impairs judgment and damages relationships. Gambling is an appetite which is never satisfied, often leading to financial ruin. Overeating sabotages the body resulting in obesity. Excessive spending is nothing more than an emotional drug which needs to be replenished over and over again. Jealousy heightens insecurity and immaturity. If our goal is happiness and health, these kinds of negative actions must be understood as leading us down the wrong path. - Victor M. Parachin

You can't cross the sea merely by standing and staring at the water. -Rabindranath Tagore
When you just watch the breath go in and out, something happens to your state of mind - it feels good; it feels peaceful. If you keep watching, joy arises. I call this the beautiful breath. It's beautiful, joyful and happy. - Ajahn Brahm
Do not keep your mind in a state of bitterness.
Do not promote an attitude that is degrading. - Swami Jyotirmayananda The sad state of public discourse in the West is in large part because many of us are often listening to our own opinions, searching for views and words that we agree with, dismissing other perspectives.- Alan Senauke
