Many Zen meditation halls have a wooden board with this line on it: Don’t waste your life! The board is strategically placed where all those entering the meditation space can read it. Our lives a made up of seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months and years. How are you using your life during those moments? Some people make the most of their lives but others, sadly, do very little. Some people steer while others merely drift. One way to avoid living a wasted life is by committing yourself to being of benefit to all beings.
