Negative actions always lead to negative ends. Drug use erodes the body and the damage can continue long after a person stops. Smoking damages the heart and lungs as well as increasing the risk of stroke. Alcohol impairs judgment and damages relationships. Gambling is an appetite which is never satisfied, often leading to financial ruin. Overeating sabotages the body resulting in obesity. Excessive spending is nothing more than an emotional drug which needs to be replenished over and over again. Jealousy heightens insecurity and immaturity. If our goal is happiness and health, these kinds of negative actions must be understood as leading us down the wrong path. - Victor M. Parachin
