- Breathe in for four seconds.
- Hold air in your lungs for four seconds.
- Exhale for four seconds.
- Hold your breath, lungs emptied, for four seconds.
Someone, sometime, somewhere taught US Navy Seals how to do pranayama especially when under great stress. It's become known as 'navy seal breath' but is actually a traditional Yogic breath exercise called "box breathing" or "four square breathing."
