I have spoken of people who were eminent in one way or another.  But in actual fact I have been quite so often impressed by mend and women of no eminence.  What I have found most unforgettable is a certain kind of moral quality, a quality of self-righteousness, whether in private live, in public affairs, or in the pursuit of truth.
