Researchers have found that using a sauna regularly can cut the risk of high blood pressure by almost half. Finnish scientists identified a 24 per cent reduction in risk among middle-aged men who took a sauna two or three times per week, while for those going four to seven times a week dropped to 46 per cent. Experts believe the way that blood vessels expand when the body is hotter may explain the results.

While saunas are not as commonly available in the USA, many hotels and health clubs offer sauanas.  Based on this study and others, it may be a good choice to take advantage of those.
