A groundbreaking operating principle in Buddhism is that an ethical, virtuous, generous, non-harming, pure life is not only beneficial to others, but is at the same time quite reliably a source of benefit and satisfaction for ourselves. - Bhikkhu Cintita

Heaven and hell are not at the end of your life; they are here and now. The door opens at every moment; at every moment you walk between heaven and hell. It is something that happens from moment to moment, it is urgent; in a moment you can go from hell to heaven, from heaven to hell.
Hell and heaven are within you. The doors are very close to each other: with your right hand you can open one and with your left you can open the other. With a mental change, your whole being is transformed: from heaven to hell and from hell to heaven.
When you act unconsciously, without attention, you are in hell; when you are conscious, when you act with full attention, you are in heaven.
