#1) Yoga works to restore our “natural” condition. “Health, youth, endurance, energy, tranquility – these qualities and all qualities like them are ‘normal’ states. They are your birthright. All negative conditions, disease, infirmity, weakness, chronic fatigue, nervousness and the symptoms of old age are unnatural. These are imposed upon us and are departures from our true natural condition.”
#2) Yoga works to maintain good health. The “life force” within each of us is supported by engaging in yoga practice ensuring that “we have full natural access to the great universal Life-Force, glowing good health is but a normal by-product.”
3) Yoga works to remove obstructions to our health and vitality. “Energy, like peace, is within you. The work of yoga is simply to remove obstructions to the functioning of the natural forces that lie dormant within us.”
